Senis Besmegenis is the temporary alter ego of former visual artist Ron Sluik. Yes, the one maybe better known as Dick Jansen. His tools for this idea were time, a good pair of shoes, a Lumix compact camera and pc with internet access. It is for the main part collected on daily walks through the southern districts of the town Bergen in Norway. Areas called Sletten, Slettenbakken, Heldal, Paradis and Natland. Material for senis on earth / senis in ashes was (partly) collected in his former habitat Chisinau. All material (with one or two exceptions) was photographed in March /April 2009. He owes a big thanks to his girlfriend Hilde for her patience and support.
